Soundblaster (Amp)

Something from the real world

This is an attempt at some real life tech here, in the form of an interestingly shaped Soundblaster amp. This was created some time ago now and from the distance of the render the object looks ok, but taking a closer look at the mesh (after quite some time) there are issues with it. The mesh of the of the main body lacks symmetry and is not flat on the base, also there are quite a few areas around the front and back grid where the mesh face overlap, which could be an issue for applying materials.

In addition to rendering this mesh was also an experimental piece to be used with software like that of blendforweb so that it could be rotated on a webpage, for this reason the the front and back grid were physical meshes instead of just having a grid pattern mapped to them.

The materials used are pretty basic as the main focus when creating the object was to try and create a passible version of the amps shape instead of an attempt at photorealism.
